| Jim Russell | Ian Verhappen |
ICEweb, the web's coolest Instrumentation, Control and Fire and Gas website has formed an Alliance with Canadian Ian Verhappen who will develop the North American interest in the site. This begins another chapter in the Global reach of the site.
Ian Verhappen is a world renowned expert in Fieldbus systems ( in particular Foundation Fieldbus) and analysers/general instrumentation). He is also Past Director of the ISA Analysis Division.
Jim Russell the Managing Director of ICEweb states..."I am very excited about this development as not only does it increase the International focus on the site, but now we will have both Ian and myself posting more technical information on it. This will mean that the mission of becoming the World's foremost technical information Instrumentation, Control and Fire and Gas engineering site will be enhanced even further”.
Verhappen states….“This opportunity to share information with other members of the process control community, combined with Jim's knowledge in Safety Systems, Fieldbus, and final control elements provides a wealth of opportunities," "I look forward to working with the ICEweb team to make ICEweb a global information source for others in our profession."
Both Ian and Jim are very aligned in their goals of passing on technical information to others, many of whom could not afford it by normal means. At this time the financial gains are minimal with most of the sponsorship revenue going back into site development and maintenance.

The ISA Instrumentation Systems and Automation Society provide all the
latest Instrumentation and Control News via INTEC- Their excellent site is well worth a visit and of course joining the ISA is very worthwhile.
